The Sea Garden

The Sea Garden in Varna is situated on 850 acres along the seaside line. It is a national monument of the garden and park art.

In the beautiful city park there is located the Alley of Revival which consists of monuments of notable Bulgarians from the revival period and our liberation struggles.

The uniqueness and attractiveness of the Sea Garden is due to the proximity to the sea – the marine landscape gently merges with the green coastal area.

Eco Park

Eco Park Varna is the first in the country to combine artificial and natural ecosystems. The park is situated on an area of 360 acres. The plant collections include more than 300 species of exotic trees and bushes, and the herbaceous plants are more than 100 species.

This botanical garden is a favorite recreational place for adults and children.

“Golden Sands” Nature Park

“Golden Sands” Nature Park is spread on an area of 13.2 km². It is located in close proximity to the city of Varna and even closer to the Golden Sands resort. On its territory there are tourist routes, places for rest and organized green schools.

“Golden Sands” Park offers 5 classic hiking trails and 4 specialized ones – children’s, dendrological, a bike route and one for people with disabilities (including wheelchairs and blind people). The routes have varying duration – between 40 minutes and 4, 5 hours and they present the biodiversity of the park. They pass through old fountains, places for rest, and places that disclose the fantastic panorama of the sea. They are suitable for hiking, eco and cultural tourism, cycling, children’s tourism and photo tourism, etc.

Shopping

For the shopping enthusiasts we recommend two of the malls in the city – Grand Mall and Mall Varna. The shopping centers are situated near each other and offer countless entertainment possibilities. • Grand Mall brings together over 220 stores, 1700 parking lots, restaurants, cinema, children’s playground and a large supermarket. Here you can find some of the world’s major fashion brands such as H&M, Zara, Bershka, Playlife, Pull and Bear, Humanic, Calliope, Stradivarius, Douglas, Marlboro Classic, Bata, Camper, Sport Vision, Intersport, etc. It is located next to the central bus station and near many other bus and trolley line stops.
• Mall Varna also provides different options for spending your time, shopping and entertainment, suitable for any age group. The territory of the mall houses nearly 150 retail stores, which offer goods of more than 300 world famous brands, as well as numerous attractions, making one’s stay at the complex an enjoyable experience. There is a cinema, a children’s playground, a big bookstore, a fancy fitness center, many places to eat, luxurious cafes, cafeterias offering a homey taste and coziness and fast food restaurants, including McDonalds, KFC, Subway and others. The Playground entertainment area offers many attractions. It combines the comfort of the club bar with touch-screen multigaming tables and the latest generation of arcade games groped by type. And the Sports bar features 10 bowling lanes and billiards areas for foosball and air hockey.

Beaches

Here are some of the beaches in the Varna area.

• Central beach lies on an easy accessible location. You can reach it by foot from downtown Varna. Here are all the summer discos, nightclubs and restaurants, which during the warm season are full of night life.
• South beach has the widest shoreline of all the beaches in Varna. It’s a suitable place for sports like beach volley and football. The sea water is nice and clear.
• Rappongi beach offers VIP parties, fresh cocktails and a modern setting.
• Kabakum beach in Chaika Resort is also an escape from the summer heat and a favorite place for tanning. The sand is fine, the water is clear and the drinks are ice cold – and it’s only 15 minutes away from Varna.
• Pasha dere is an exotic, virgin beach. It located near Varna and offers solitude and tranquility. There is a firth in the region known for its unique flora and fauna.
• Kamchia Reserve is a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve by the river Kamchia. The region has a holiday resort with small hotels, a beach, eco trails, boating on the river – activities, ensuring relaxation and positive emotions.

Other well-known beaches around Varna are “Trakata” near Euxinograd, “The Officer’s” beach and Asparuhovo beach.
